Remove surface corrosion using 3M Scotch-Brite Multi Flex - very fine or ultra fine* abrasive pads.

NOTE: In the case of excessive corrosion, the propeller shaft should be removed for corrosion removal and inspection of shaft.

Clean and degrease propeller shaft. Coat all surfaces of the propeller shaft external of the gearbox with Motorex Chainlube 622 Strong*.

* or equivalent, can be sprayed or   brushed on.

Before propeller installation, wipe the propeller shaft flange contact surface clean of residual corrosion preventative film (1).
